I have been doing reserach about the RTX 2080 Super and majority of the reviewers said it was not worth it. I want to know if it is actually worth it over my GTX 980.
I am thinking of getting a wide screen monitor 34" in the near future. For 1440p? Well, sure.
1080p? Not so much... the 2070 Super and RX 5700XT have more going for them at that resolution.
The resolution is 3440 x 144034" widescreen monitor doesn't say anything about it's resolution.
better just to wait for 3000 series.I have been doing reserach about the RTX 2080 Super and majority of the reviewers said it was not worth it. I want to know if it is actually worth it over my GTX 980.
This is my thought also, it’s now best to wait. For such a high resolution you need as much gpu power as possible. I have a 2080S and game at 1440p 144Hz. It is not overpowered by any means, games need a mixture of medium/high settings to achieve 120fps, COD MW is mainly medium settings. I am hoping we will see gpu’s that equal or beat the 2080Ti for similar prices to the 2080/2080S, if we do I will be upgrading. This is actually at a lower resolution than you are wanting to use.better just to wait for 3000 series.
you'll get a better value for your money with the new series and if not, you'll be able to get 2000 series for cheaper.
