I specifically got the g4400 with plans in the future to upgrade to an i5 6600/6600k.
IF I end up getting a i5 6600k, will it be possible to add a slight overclock with the h110 chipset?
In the BIOS for the board there is a tab for overclocking so I would assume that it should be possible but i'm not too sure.

Another thing I was thinking about was to wait for the release of the Kaby Lake line-up this summer.

Solution
Overclocking requires a Z170 motherboard. Some vendors did offer BCLK overclocking on some boards with a special BIOS until Intel put the kibosh on that, I don't think any H110 board did get support for that though. As such, there is no point in you spending extra for an unlocked CPU, the plain 6600 is usually considered to be a bit overpriced given that its stock clock rate is barely faster than the i5 6500, so the 6500 is probably a better option for a locked i5 if you want to save some money. Kaby Lake will be coming out some time in the second half of this year, it's pretty much just going to be refresh of Skylake, so similar to the current CPUs, just maybe with slightly higher stock clockspeeds on them, probably not worth waiting...

Thanks for the quick response, but the only thing that confuses me is the fact that in the bios there is a tab specifically labeled for overclocking. It allows you to change the cpu ratios and a few other settings, but with my g4400 im currently running the multiplier is locked at the stock 33 (3.3Ghz). I'm not really sure if a K processor would allow for overclocking at all. Wish I could get some clarification on it, but thanks again for the response.

Guess I'll consider this as sloved!
