Hi All,

My current configuration is:

CPU: AMD FX 6300
GPU: Sapphire R9 270x 2GB DDR5
MB: ASUS M5A97 PRO R 2.0
RAM: 2x4GB DDR3, 1X8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance
PSU: Corsair VS 450

I am looking for a best bang for buck mix of parts - not necessarily the best in class - budget may extend by $250.

  • Approximate Purchase Date: Next month
    Budget Range: Up to $800
System Usage: Gaming, Surfing the internet, Watching movies, Photoshop
Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Speakers, OS, DVD-Drive
    Preferred Website(s) for Parts: amazon.in
    Country: India
    Overclocking: No
    SLI or Crossfire: No
    Monitor Resolution: 1920X1080 (BenQ 24")

While we are at it:

The 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance (on DIMM Slots 1 & 3) are reading 1333MHz and the 8GB (on DIMM Slot 2) is reading 1600Mhz. Can someone please tell me why?

Thanks in Advance.

Cheers! :)

Thanks! However, I do not need the HDD. But will need a case. What sort of a trade of am I looking if I am pitting the GTX 1060 to the R9 270x?

here's the big picture
spec wise, that GPU u had pretty much resembles GTX 1050ti, so the performance difference should be bout the same too

I would advice a ryzen 1600 from Amazon? on a gigabyte gaming 3 b350 mobo from primeagb? Get 2x4gb of 2800/3000/3200 which ever is cheaper. You can bump up the ram to 2933 in bios if it's a 2800 module.
Get a corsair cx 450 2017 from Amazon and a corsair spec 01 from primeagb again.
U can maybe get the gpu, ssd and maybe even ram from newegg India import if you are upto it.
Would suggest a hyperx or mx300 ssd. Try for the 250gb version.
