So i love my 580's but have finally come to accept the fact that they aren't going to support Project Shield when it drops. I'm really excited for the idea of streaming my PC games to a remote handheld - so I'm planning on upgrading, but at the same time I would really like to avoid any sort of downgrade whatsoever. i do NOT want to sacrifice performance for the sake of Project Shield and preferably, since i'm buying more hardware, i'd like to get as much of a performance boost as possible.
I'm looking at a few different options but need some help determining the pros/cons of each.
option 1: GTX 680 Dual SLI
option 2: GTX 690
option 3: GTX Titan
I play games of all kinds and enjoy playing everything at MAX settings whenever possible. Ideally I want something that will allow me to play Far Cry 3 at 1080p with all settings maxed out, with a smooth buttery fps.
Other specs:
Motherboard: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.3)
CPU: Intel I72600K OC at 4.6 GHz
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz
I'm looking to upgrade sooner rather than later to give me the best chance at selling off my 580's. Thanks!!
