Hi all,

My system specs are as follows:
CPU: i5-4670 @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
MOBO: ASUS Z87-K
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB GDDR5
SSD: 256GB
My gaming usage is Total War Warhammer/Attila and Football Manager 2018. My son has started playing Fortnite Battle Royale.

I want to upgrade. The goal is to see a visible difference but still staying within a budget. My idea is to upgrade just the video card and keep the rest. GTX 1050 and 1060 are looking attractive.

What are your thoughts on this? Thanks for participating in this discussion. By the way, I live in Canada, if that makes a difference to your advice.

Cheers!

Cheaper option would be an GTX 970/980 but you didnt listed your PSU, and also thr CPU is still good for gaming.

If you dont like used 1060 6GB will rock at 1080P gaming max settings except some.
But Im quite unsure since new Nvidia gpu line will come out? No strong evidence of it.

I ended up getting EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB card. I have a 700W PSU, so power is not an issue. I am very satisfied with my results so far. Thank you very much for your comment. It helped me in the right direction.
