Can anyone weigh in with an opinion on this? I am really on the fence about whether a 3gb 780 or 770 4gb upgrade is worth it at this point for 1440p gaming.

On one hand, the 680s will only depreciate in value the longer I wait, so I could sell them now and get 2 4gb 770s (with a little extra cash out of pocket) or a single 780 3gb (and wait to get a second down the road).

On the other hand, i'm running bf4 with 2x AA @ 1440p with great fps...

Some people say Vram requirements are just a scare tactic to get people to upgrade, others say 2gb just isnt gonna cut it in the near future.

What do you all think?

2GB at 1440p?..If i were you in this case i would go 2 770s 4GB sli which would give you insane power at 1440p and the extra vram will help and give you better performance then a single 780

This is always the issue there are such conflicting opinions on this.

Basically if I can get 250$ on ebay per 680 I'd have to put up almost 300$ for the 770 4g (maybe closer to 200$ if I get them used).

So is it worth that money?
