Upgrading from gtx 680 to 1060/1070 help

Hey. I currently own a gtx 680 2gb. I am looking to upgrade to a 1060 or a 1070, i am not sure yet.
At the moment i game @ 1080p 60fps, but in a month or two i will be looking for sales for a 1440p monitor.
So my question is, should i get the 1060 or 1070, and is 1440p rlly worth it ?

If you are going to 1440p which yes it really is worth it. I would advise to go with the 1070 because it will give you better performance over all.
