Does anyone know a way to upgrade from ME to win 2000? I see where Microsoft does not support it, but is there a way anyone can think of? I know I will not have system restore but I can install Norton's Goback. I really don't to reinstall everything on my hard drive. I would rather wait till the next service pack comes out later in 2004 before I install XP.

<""I see where Microsoft does not support it"">

and where is that?

and why don't ya install 2k clean?

and why do you need "restore" thing if 2k does not crash as ME?

and why don't you rather wait?

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

95, 98, ME are basically the same operating systems at a different time.
NT, 2000 and XP are in the same family which allows for an easy upgrade.

Your option:

Install a fresh copy of Windows 2000, SP4.

No other smart choice to do.. I hated it when I had to, but now I'm happy I did do it.
