I recieved the windows 2000 Professional to upgrade from the windows ME that was currently on my public school issued laptop. I came to find out that I cand not upgrade to 2000 from ME. Now I have two operating systems running on my C drive and each time I boot up it asks which operating system I would like to run. How can I get back to Window Me, and only one OS on my hard drive.

You can boot with your WinME startup disk and issue the command
sys C:
this will rewrite the boot sector, then you can delete these files boot.ini,
ntldr, ntdetect.com, bootsect.dos, pagefile.sys and possibly ntbootdd.sys
from the root of the System partition C:\., then you can delete the Windows
2000 boot partition or possibly the \winnt directory (whichever the case)
