Thinking about switching out my Macbook Pro for a PC at the office. Tired of the "small" 17'' screen for work. Here's my current build with the MBP:

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Ram: 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT 256mb
HD: 160gb - 5400RPM 8mb
Display: 17 Inch 1680 x 1050

Approximate Purchase Date: In the next few weeks.

Budget Range: Not fully sure.. Probably like 350-750. There's some wiggle room.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Office Computer - I run Photoshop/Text Editors and a ton of web apps. Additionally in down time I do play a few games: World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2, Diablo 3, Heroes of Newerth.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes (Don't include this into price though).

Parts to Upgrade: New Build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg/Amazon - open to other options.

Location: St. Louis, MO

Parts Preferences: N/A

Overclocking: Maybe... probably not. The sound of this scares me.

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Screen size and resolution is really important to me. Don't mind doubling up on monitors either. 1920x1080 - 1920x1200 - 2560x1440

Additional Comments: N/A

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: MBP is running a bit slow, overheating issue prevents me from using an external monitor, and I'd really like to have more screen space at the office.
