First of all, I have bought a laptop like 2 years ago, which included an OEM Windows 7 home premium. No discs, just the key and the preinstalled windows. I used that laptop for a bit, then I had deadpixel problems and the whole laptop was going down somehow. So I took it back to the store, they asked if I would like a new laptop or my money refunded. I have choosen the 2nd. But before I took back my laptop, I made a photo of the serial on it for windows 7. (I know these machines are going to be destroyed or refurbished, and none would use that serial again) I waited a few months, and bought a 17' MacBook Pro. I need MS office, so I split up my HDD, and installed windows 7 home premium on it, with the OEM serial I got earlier. It all installed fine, the only problem I had was that I had to activate it over the phone, as the activation screen said, as its OEM, i must do it over the phone. I have done it, all works fine, even after years. I really like it though.

Now, I am studying, and I saw that I can update my Windows7 to 8.1 Pro for only 50£. Which would be very nice indeed.

My question is easy, will it work? Will I be able to update it with no problems, and more importantly, will I have a "clean" serial for Win 8?

Cheers for the answers!

Solution
You are asking us to assist you in perpetuating an illegal activation which is against the terms of service.

Please do us all a favor and purchase your operating system rather than pirating same.

Rather than answering the question, all you do is complain about my behaviour. Please, I aint gonna pay 150+50 for a system like that, that would be jokes.
