Been a while since I built my PC so would appreciate if someone can just double check I meet the requirements:

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz
Asus Z87M-PLUS Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Asus STRIX GTX970
Samsung 128GB 840 Pro SSD (but only a few GB remaining)

And finally how would I go about doing the upgrade if the requirements are met?

Many thanks!

Solution
also, windows 7 has all of the power management (sleep functions) disabled by default. Window 10 will turn them all on by default and you might hit a bunch of old bugs with devices not waking up. IE you might want to update the bios and drivers to the most current you can get before you update to windows 10.
Then after the update, check for more windows 10 driver updates or be sure to know how to go into windows control panel and set the system to high performance mode and fix the various drivers that might fail.
ie run cmd.exe as an admin then run
powercfg.exe /energy
and look at the report
