Hey, planning on upgrading my PC for the first time, here are my current specs.

Model: Acer Aspire M3970
Processor: i7 2600 sandy bridge (3.4 ghz)
GPU: amd radeon hd 6570
Motherboard: dh67 bl motherboard
chipset: intel h67
PSU: PS 6301 08A (300 watts i think)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 (1.33 ghz)

Here is a link below to show what the inside of my pc looks like (To the left of the cpu fan is the old gpu and the silver box is the psu).

The new video card I want is the Gigabyte Radeon R9 280, heres the link...

The new PSU I want is Corsair CX Series CX600M 600W ATX 12V 80 Plus Bronze, link below...

Will the r9 280 bump into the ram slots I have? Is it compatible with my specs?

Is the cx600m small enough to fit inside the case? My old PSU is 15cm x 14cm x 8.5cm

Thank you in advance!

Solution
i would not get that psu. not only is it expensive but not that good of quality. here are 2 quality options that are cheaper than that one and much better built http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr%2Csilverstone-power-supply-st60fesb/

not saying the psu is junk but for the price there is better available. i believe both the prices are the same ncix store as well. they also have an xfx 550w psu that is good quality and worth it as well.
As far as the card goes... I think you're okay for spacing with the ram, you'll notice the card has a bit of a knotch that opposes the ram clips. I think it's a little much card for that particular setup. but it would run ok with that PSU which *SHOULD* fit, Might be a tight squeeze though. That's why I own a Dremel.

Solution
that's about right. the 280 uses about 250w plus the system at another 150w or so. the 280 needs a 6 pin and 8 pin power connector and though 500w would be enough power, few of them have the needed power connectors. the ones i chose were not based on wattage but price. for the same cost or less than a quality 500-550w psu, you could have one of these better ones i suggested which also happen to have more power. 550w is the minimum i would use for a 280 since it is such a power hungry gpu.

Thanks for the reply but i changed my mind. The Seasonic SSR-550RM seems pretty good and it is 80 plus gold.
