Upgrading gpu, display issues and hardware recognition problems?

First things first:
Motherboard: Dell optiplex 790
CPU: i5 3.3
Psu: 330w seasonic
old gpu: gtx 760
new gpu: gtx1050ti
500gb ssd

Recently swapped out my gt 760 for a 1050ti. Now my second monitor is not being recognized, and my primary monitor isnt allowing full resolution, leaving a black empty border on screen. Also, device manager shows gpu stopped with code 43(stopped bc windows reported a problem).

Ive tried downloading drivers every way I can think of and have wiped my pc to have a clean slate. No luck.

I saw some people online had posted with a 1050ti on their optiplex 790 before I bought the 1050ti, but from what I can tell the 1050 isnt compatible..? Idk. I'm relatively new to this. Help me obi wan, you're my only hope.

I went to nvidia and downloaded the oldest possible driver, then updated it from the geforce experience program. Ez pz.
