upgrading GPU do i need to get rid of the CPU?

so recently if was i was going upgrade my GPU and was wondering if i needed to just install my new GPU or get rid of my current CPU because it's a AMD A8-5600k APU with radeon HD graphics

well, first of all, your CPU is quite weak, and you should be sticking to lower end GPU, like GTX1060 for example, unless you plan to upgrade your CPU very soon.

Yes you should disable your ONBOARD graphics within bios after you get the PCI-E GPU running properly. Also, don't forget to DDU (program) remove any of your older Graphics drivers from your onboard Chip
