Upgrading GPU Help

I Have a 1050 TI and it does good with my 1080p monitor for gaming and everyday work. I just got a lg 32ud59-b and its 4k 2160p at 60hz. Would a RTX 2070 be worth it to upgrade or will it lag like my 1050 ti?

I think the 2070 should run better than your 1050...but I think you are going to be very CPU limited and not get the most out of the 2070....so I don't think it's worth the upgrade. I wouldn't go further than a 1070 with that cpu and that might be pushing it.

If he is planning to play at 4k60 the GPU will still be the limiting factor. the 6500 should be able to handle almost any game at upto 60fps.

I want to play at 4k so should i get a i7 and a 2080 GPU? Maybe add another 8 GB Ram?

....as far as how a 1070 will run 4K games...in general your fps will be very low.
If you want to run 4K well I'd recommend a 2080 Ti because I'm running one now and it works well at 4K.
....and believe it or not...you will still not get 60 fps all the time in all games at 4K with a 2080 Ti.
...as far as the hit you will take with a 2080 at 4K.

If you upgrade your CPU and DDR the RTX 2070 would be a good choice
