Upgrading GPU made me lag.

I just bought the Radeon RX550 gaming edition and installed it. Upgrading from Radeon 6530d intregrated graphics. My cpu is the AMD A6-3650 (quad core). My fps is just as high as it was before, but its worse because the screen is choppy, as if it was lagging. I need help.

did you connect the monitor to the card and uninstalled all the previous gpu drivers?

Yes I connected the monitor to the card. I can't find any previous gpu drivers because it is part of the processor.

The screen is choppy? Do you mean low FPS or screen tear? If it's screen tear, go turn on Vsync.

My fps is either worse or the same. It's just choppy as hell.

Could it be monitor related? I had to change my monitor because my other one didn't have hdmi. Which I am currently using. Or could it be it is still using the integrated graphics. I didn't change any settings, only installed the graphics card and its drivers. Thats all I did

Recommended psu for the Rx 550 alone is 400w, this is the problem.

I doubt it. It can't get any more than 75W anyway, so it should run fine even with a 250W PSU. 300W should be no big deal.
