Hey, I've had a GTX 1060 6gb ssc from EVGA for about a year or so now. And I have been playing pretty GPU stressing games lately and I need an upgrade. I have 300 dollars on amazon right now so I guess thats my budget. I can obviously add more on if there is something I really need that isnt that much more expensive than my budget. Thanks a ton!

This is a great option as well. It's on par with the rtx 2060 KO edition and cheaper.

My friend said that 2060s suck lol, he told me to go for a 2070 or 2070 super, how much faster is my card from a 2060 and whats the difference between a 2060 and 2070?

A 2060 Super does not suck at all, it is in fact quite a powerful card. It would be a noticable step up from your GTX 1060, roughly 50% performance increase. You should consider buying one if you play at 1080p, but you should keep in mind your resolution; for 1080p you would not see the difference between 2060 Super and 2070. For 1440p or 4K it is maybe worth the upgrade to 2070.

I have been searching for you on Amazon. But I guess you will need to save up a bit further I am afraid. Both the 2070 and 2060 Super are above 300 dollar. I would also want you to take a look at AMD's offering, the RX5700XT, which blows the 2070 out of the water and at a lower price.

My bad, I meant to say 2060's in general, I currently have 350 dollars on amazon rn ( i can add more ofcourse) but right now I was looking at the EVGA RTX 2060 KO . And my friend told me to not get it because its not really an upgrade from a 1060

I don't mean to insult your friend, but I have no idea why he thinks that. Here, check out this comparison between the two cards on userbenchmark. If a 43% improvement in fps is not an upgrade, I don't know what is. FYI, I personally own this this exact card (check out my signature); the EVGA 2060 KO is solid.

The 2060 is a huge upgrade at 40-50% faster than a 1060 and it fits the budget you wanted.

I need a new graphics card because im starting to get into vr alot more and my current evga gtx 1060 6gb SSC cant really handle my vr games as well. I want to get a RTX 2070, but its really up to you guys what my choice is..

My budget is probably somewhere around the $400 dollar mark, idk. If possible under $500.

You also might want to wait for the release of NVIDIA RTX 3000 series graphics card which should be releasing in September-October.

Simple, higher number in it's name. 1070 better than 1060, 1080 better than 1070 and if there's "Ti" at end it's better than than same number without it First numeral, 1 or 2 denotes generation for instance, 2060 is newer generation of 1060. "GTX is normal and RTX means it has HW accelerated for Ray tracing.

What are you talking about? AMD cards run no hotter then Nvidia these days, at least the good brands do.
