Upgrading gpu (probably to r9 390), need to know if the rest of the PC is still good enough

it's probably just me being paranoid, but since we're talking about a big purchase for me i don't wanna mess up on the little things ^ ^'

CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth P67
PSU: Coolermaster silent pro 720w

My intention is to buy a r9 390, probably an msi one but i'm still thinking about that, but i'm waiting 15 july for amazon prime day, still had the free trial. If prices start dropping i might consider a 390X or even a 980 if it drops below 400 euro (i don't think that will happen but a man can dream <.< )

the cpu it's at stock values.

my doubts are mainly about the psu, i heard amd cards can use a LOT of power especially if you oc a little but i dont know how much, but also about if they will fit in the case.

pics (sorry for shitty cellphone camera quality and the little bit of dust, got lazy lately)

case: http://i.imgur.com/X2ETSz2.jpg?1

psu (in case more info are needed): http://i.imgur.com/xzZ8CuW.jpg?1

the gpu i currently have it's an asus gtx 770.

thanks in advance for the help.

Solution
Your psu is ok although the quality isn't that great compared to other decent units, it should be fine. You would want at least a 650W with AMD high end cpus.
Since you already have your case, just measure the gpu clearance and you will know how long the card for the R9 390 or GTX 980 you can get.

Cooler Master
Silent pro M2 / Gold / Platinum Enhance

Tier Three
Some Haswell compatible, some not (maybe unconfirmed). Still safe to use and stable, just lower quality components. Some capacitors maybe Japanese, but can include the Taiwanese capacitors. Not really ideal in serious overclocking or super-high load situations, such as a Bitcoin mining rig or a high end gaming system.

We normally recommend that people only buy Tier 1 or Tier 2 power supplies. That Cooler Master is a Tier 3 unit. What we sometimes see is that as long as the load on the power supply is light, things work as expected. But then, if you drop a big load onto it, it can start causing random reboots (power failures), random errors popping up, and other thing that just make life miserable.

I will link the list I use here on Toms to determine the ranks they have been assigned. You can see whats in Tiers 1 and 2, and make a decision on what you want to do.

Don't know about the 720w unit, and quality can vary from unit to unit. But the 850w unit is solid.

Tom's does similar tests, but the guys at Hardware Secrets were one of the first to do in-depth testing and expose garbage -vs- quality PSUs. I use Tom's, Hardware Secrets and FrostyTech to compare test results on PSUs and CPU/GPU coolers. Good sources.

A very long time ago, I used to read hardwaresecrets almost religiously. But then I started noticing things in various articles that I knew were inaccurate. Over time, I saw enough to eventually stop going there at all. I haven't been back in over 5 years now.

On power supplies, I look at Toms, JonnyGuru, and on the rare occasion that Anandtech still does one, I read it.

So, to summarize it all. Cpu and motherboard are fine and PSU it's fine for stock but might or might not, depending if i got a good quality one or not, but up to today it never gave me a problem with the 770 so i have hope ^ ^', give problems if i try a heavy OC in the future (don't think i will need it as of now) ?

meanwhile i looked up the specifications of my 770 and the all the variants of 390/x and 980 i'm intrested in, and the size difference its max 1cm in each fo the 3 dimensions listed, a little more on the gigabyte maybe, so i HOPE i won't have problems XD

thanks everyone for helping :D
