I recently ordered a RTX 3080 and I am just wondering if my current rig is 100% compatible ?
I did check a bit before posting this but I want an expert to see if I might have missed something along the way:

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 (MSI)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K @ 3.60GHz
  • RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (DDR4-3200 8GBx2)
  • PSU: Crosair HX750
  • Mobo: ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING
  • Case: Corsair Crystal 570X RGB ATX Mid-Tower
  • Monitor: ROG PG348Q

Thank you for the reply guys. I have another question regarding the cooler of the CPU, I use a pretty basic one, should I get a liquid cooler?
It’s fine with my 2080 but a big boost to 3080 may require a better cooler..

i7 9700 comes with a stock cooler included in the box, but it's indeed very basic and can get quite loud under load.

To make most out of you i7 i would recommend, if you prefer aircoolers,

Noctua NH-D12

https://noctua.at/en/nh-d15

but if you are a bit of slave to RGB disco lighting, which i resume is the case based on choice of rgb case i would recommend full on saturday
night fever light show with:
iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...TE-CAPELLIX-Liquid-CPU-Cooler/p/CW-9060046-WW
there are flashier and prettier aio's out there, but since you already have iCUE commander included with your case, it's better to keep it simple.

When it comes to noise levels H100i tends to be a little quieter and cooling performance is rougly the same with adequate airlow..

just to be thorough,
your case supports these AIO collers ( pretty much anything up 360mm in lenght)

H55, H60, H75, H80i, H90, H100i, H105, H110

I personally prefer liquid coolers as quiet operation is the most important aspect to me,
but if cooling performance is the most important criteria, a good modern air cooler will
perform just as well as mid range AIO.

On another note regarding the Temperatures, I see GPU, Memory and Hot Spot should worry of the last two since they are quite high..
