Question Upgrading gpu

Intel i7-3770k
Msi b75ma-p45
Gtx 970
500w cyclon aerocool psu
16gb ddr3 corsair ram
160gb Samsung ssd used only for Windows
500gb hdd

I'm looking for ideas for a gpu upgrade but am unsure because of the age of my setup, any help is greatly appreciated, also I'm open to any upgrade ideas not just for my gpu.

Something like a GTX1660Ti would fit well into your setup quite nicely without much of a bottleneck.

First thing you need to do, is get a higher quality power supply. For graphics, you can find really good deals on RX 6600's. You won't get the most out of it, but it can always be carried over, when you finally do a very overdue platform upgrade. This PSU is also more than you need, but high quality, lower wattage units weren't much different in price.
