Recently ordered a desktop PC due to laptop biting the dust, gaming wasn't my first instinct but after ordering it I have realised there is certainly potential for it to be a very decent gaming pc. Nothing spectacular but nice on the side.

The only thing that lets it down is the graphics card. Would I be able to upgrade the graphics card in due course?

Here it is :

It already has a dedicated PCI-e GPU so you can upgrade it without problems. That PSU worries me though. When you decide to upgrade, you're definitely going to need to get a better one.

You can always buy another graphics card and put it into PCI-e 3.0 slot and get a better power supply around the 500w-600w range would be more than enough to power a single gpu.

Its difficult to know if the bios is locked or not. And forums don't provide a 100% basis as HP could of supplied a different motherboard during the product line. But the possibility of having bios locked is very low.
