Hi all,

Just looking for advice on upgrading a graphics card. It's for my Grandfather who's wanting to upgrade to Windows 10 and his current graphics card isn't compatible, also his current card doen't have a HDMI port which he also wants.

Just wondering if anybody can point me in the direction of a good but cheap as possible graphics card which will be compatible with Windows 10. I've had a look at a few myself but not sure about power etc as I don't really know too much about graphics cards.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Microsoft is full of it. Your integrated Geforce 6150 SE is just fine for Windows 10, the caveat is that you'd have to do a clean install rather than an upgrade, and that may be a problem. As for the HDMI port, well, this is where the GPU comes in. This card is the cheapest card with an HDMI port I could find in the UK, and it'll get the job done. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-hd-5450-silent-1024mb-gddr3-pci-express-low-profile-graphics-card-gx-271-as.html However, I've tried to use a similar HD 5450 in an Intel-based HP computer in the past and it failed miserably. A Geforce 210, however, worked. I'd imagine that since you have an Nvidia chipset rather than an Intel one that it'd be compatible, but you never can tell with HPs... If you want to be safe, this card will work for sure but costs a bit more: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00842KPT2
