Hi guys,

I have i5 2500k OC on 4.2
16gb ram
P67 pro3 se mobo
Corsair VS650 PSU

My amd 6870 dirt3 edition got fried on another setup, so now I have amd 6770 Gigabyte 1gb edition. I want to upgrade the graphics to MSI rx570 armor 8gb OC and I am now wondering will my CPU bottleneck it?
Also, is it possible that the new GPU won't work on my setup?

Yep, i mean, since you're going to by a new GPU anyways just buy it and install it.
And when you see that the system still doesn't bring the power you need/want, you can still buy a new board + cpu. And since this is a DDR3 board, you would also need to buy new Rams too.
That's how i would handle this thing.

Oh, right, that GPU should and will work on that system, since your Board hac PCIe 16x and your PSU is more than enough.

Hey there,

I wouldn't think you would have any issues installing that card. That processor and GPU are well matched and won't cause much bottlenecking. Looking at the bottleneck calculator, there doesn't seem to be any problems with that combo at all.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it :)
I am planning on upgrading the whole PC in about a year, so I want to buy a graphics card now that will work well for the next few years at least.

hehe, get a vega card then :) But seriously, I used to have a 7870 until recently so the 570 will be a good upgrade. Can you stretch for a 580?

Vega would be nice hehe, I was thinking about 580 but it is too expensive for me at the moment

You say it's too expensive at the moment, why dont you save few bucks more a better card like MetallicMonk said.
Better investing like 30-60 bucks more (dont know what the 570 and 580 costs in your country), instead of buying 2 times :p

The difference is 60-70usd for 570 and 580, but I don't plan on buying two times. I want to buy this gpu now and keep it later with a new setup
