do you think GT 1030 will fit in HP COMPAQ ELITE 8000 SFF...also im noob at the bios thing, do you need to update that too?

Solution
Not all PSUs are created equal. The PSU in that prebuilt is designed to handle the hardware inside the system. Adding a 1030 brings in about 30 watts, so it is not that big of a change. But the 1050ti is bringing in 75 watts (on average, not counting peaks). That is going pretty far above what the original PSU was designed to do.
You will have to make sure it's a low profile (half height) GT 1030. Most of them are but make sure they come with the half height bracket. You shouldn't need to do a BIOS update. You will just need to download the drivers from NVidia website.

You can also get low profile GTX 1050 and GTX 1050Ti as well if you want something better.
