Upgrading GTX 460 $300 budget

I'm building a new computer and have everything but my HDD, OS and GPU.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: About 2 months from now.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming. Mostly Skyrim, Vindictus, Borderlands 2, Prototype and assassin's Creed 3

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: GTX 460 AND OCZ ZT 550W

CPU:i5-3570K

MOBO: ASRock Z75 Pro3 ATX LGA1155

RAM: Patriot Intel Extreme Master, Limited Ed 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: The cheapest you know of.


OVERCLOCKING: Not right now, but I'd like the option to.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1600x900

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: It needs to have good cooling.

with that resolution get 660ti, it should max most games out there. For lower price, get 7870. But 660ti is better choice with your budget and resolution

the best gpu is hd 7950 under 300$.it will maxout any games you throw at it for next 3 years at your resolution.so hd 7950 hands down

Hi. Maybe you might even consider next gen cards by the time you'll be purchasing one or at least purchase a current gen one for less. If you had a smaller budget at that resolution, you would probably be told to get the GTX 650 Ti or HD 7850. :lol:
