[SOLVED] Upgrading Gtx550ti to Gtx1660 with old pc

CPU : i5-ivy bridge 3450 3.1Ghz
GPU : Gtx550-ti
MotherBoard : Asus-P8Z77-M
Ram : 8Gb
Display 1600x900

So this is a 2012 Pc, seems to run the things i play just fine , but i think its time for a upgrade, but i want to just upgrade the GPU for now.

Does i have some incompatibility changing to Gtx1660 or Either Rx590 ?

Or should i just buy everything new again

You don't have to buy a new system if the PC still performs satisfactorily for you. A new graphics card can be used in an eventual new system (if required). And at that resolution a GTX 1660 will be fine.
