Upgrading, gtx770/780 or...

Hi all, I'm planning on upgrading my pc, my specs are...

Amd fx 8120 (@4.2 air cooled)
Sapphire 7850 2G OC
Asus M5A78L-M LX V2 Motherboard
700w power supply
120gig SSD
1T hard drive

I've £400 to spend & want to spend it wisely if possible!

I'm looking at upgrading to either

EVGA 770/780 Or

Gtx 760 & a AMD FX 8350???

What would you guys spend the money on? It doesn't have to be what I listed above! Just want the best value for money!

What is the exact model of that power supply? I'd just upgrade the GPU, but if your PSU is crappy, it might not be able to handle it.

Well the PSU is pretty average, so it should be able to handle a GPU upgrade.

Yeah, there's a huge difference. The 4GB of VRAM on that GPU is mostly just a marketing gimmick, there is basically no difference in performance compared to the 2GB version at 1080p.

Wow, quite the difference between the 760 & 780, that's made my mind up regarding the graphics card! Thanks.

Is it worth upgrading my cpu to the 8350 at a later date? They're approx £120 on amazon? Would I see a difference?

I wouldn't upgrade the CPU, your current overclock makes it pretty much equal to a stock 8350, so going Intel would probably be the next step whenever you feel like you need more performance.
