Upgrading HP Pavilion a1410n

Hello,
I need to upgrade my daughter's PC for school. She is taking some game simulation classes and requires at least 2GB of RAM. Currently her computer has 1Gb ram. Will adding another 2Gb be enough for gaming and Windows7? Or should I just start get her a newer (gulp) computer?Her graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce 7300GS and the processor is an AMDAthlon 64 V3800

you should get a newer computer.....most new games require a stronger GPU with a good shader and 4gigs or ram sometimes more,i would suggest getting an intel computer for a good performance
