Hello, I would like to upgrade my Laptop CPU, I've been researching and looking around and I think I have a upgradable CPU which is here: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-A8-Series%20A8-4500M.html

I would like to upgrade my CPU to this: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-A10-Series%20A10-5750M%20-%20AM5750DEC44HL.html

I have a Hp Pavilion G7 2269WM

my motherboard is a 184B Hewlett Packard

So i have a few questions

Am I able to upgrade to it?
I installed CPU-Z and it says I have 827 Pins, but the website says the CPU I have has 722, and the one I want to upgrade also has 722 pins, can I still upgrade why is it like this?

Thanks For Help*!

I looked it up, and cannot find any info about a CPU upgrade for your laptop. In general, it is rare to be able to upgrade a laptop CPU, as the manufacturers do not release the bios upgrades for the MB to support it. Also, HP is generally good about putting possible CPU upgrades on their website for their computers, but they did not put it for this model.

In the absence of data to support the CPU upgrade, I would recommend against it so you do not get stuck with a CPU you cannot use.

Also, the CPU upgrade you recommended is not that much of an increase anyway.

It may not be much of an upgrade, but I still need to reach a little bit of higher performance, but you do not think I can upgrade it to that?

I say go for it - same package, same socket.

I don't buy into the whole worrying about BIOS support - I upgraded mine without worrying about it, and the i7 I went to from the Pentium B960 had a higher TDP, with no problems.

Do you have a Skype or something to contact, maybe you can help me?

I'd rather not.

I don't mind answering questions here and there on a messageboard, but I'm sure you can understand how I might not want to have people I don't know contacting me via skype/text/phone whenever they have a question.

Lol I understand, it might be too personal for you, it's just something we forumer's do for quick and easy contact for inquiries, and number is too personal I understand, i would never ask for that 😛
