Upgrading Memory on HP Pavilion 17-e119wm

According to the HP Advisor, I can only have up to 8 GB of memory on my system. Is it possible to upgrade to, say, DDR4 or add more RAM?

The Pavilion 17-e119wm does not support DDR4 memory, it only supports DDR3L memory (SODIMM).

From various online sources, there seems to be conflicting details on maximum memory that is supported. But it appears that up to 16 GB total memory may be supported. So, in theory, a 2 x 8 GB dual channel kit could be used.
