Upgrading memory on ThinkPad T30

I want to upgrade the memory on my machine by myself, but before I open it up, I don't know which items will be compatible with it.

Is that means I can use either DDR or SDRAM?
And what about the MHZ? is there a limit there? or whatever comes with the memory is good?

I'd check the Thinkpad web site to find out exactly what your notebook needs. It *seems* that you probably need DDR-267 or faster RAM, probably in a SODIMM type module, probably unbuffered.
BTW, DDR is a type of SDRAM.

You may also want select the brand of memory that you are comfortable with and check the the memory company and see if they have validated memory with your notebook.
