So I decided to upgrade my motherboard, CPU, and RAM. I'm getting a Ryzen 3 with a compatible motherboard with 8gb of ddr4 RAM. I'm worried I might have to re-buy Windows 10 after the upgrade is complete. I upgraded to Windows 10 professional from Windows 7 professional back when it was free. Will I have to re-buy Windows 10? Thanks.

Solution
your win7 is upgraded for free to a win10 digital license to your hardware. you can reuse that.

first you need to get the installer. you can go to the site below and follow instructions there. prepare a usb drive (at least 8GB) or write into a DVD with the ISO file.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

as for your license, you will need to follow the instructions here
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/20530/windows-10-reactivating-after-hardware-change

if you cannot login to your old motherboard anymore, then you will have to contact microsoft directly about your matter. they will assist you in helping you transfer your license.

If I'm not replacing the HDD where Windows 10 is installed, do I still need the installer?
