Question Upgrading Motherboard on Alienware Aurora

Hi guys
I have an old AW Aurora R3 from 2010, on which I fitted a few years ago a gygabite z97mx gaming 5 motherboard (hence this is not the original MB).
Because I love this case and don't want to replace it, I'm thinking of doing another upgrade of the motherboard and fitting it with new generation chipset, gpu and ddr4 RAM.
Which motherboard should I get that would fit? Any ideas?

If you put that gigabyte in there then I assume it takes a mATX (microATX) motherboard,

As far as using the case in 2020, why? It's horribly outdated not just in what IO is on the case, but modern cases have far superior airflow, features like dust filters and PSU shrouds and just look better.
