I have a Lenovo legion y520 laptop I want to upgrade my 2.5" 512gb ssd drive to a 1tb 2.5" ssd drive. my question is should I first disconnect the battery before replacing? or is it ok to leave the battery connected?
1) You don't want any possible electricity going around in the system where you can possibly cause a short.
2) Some laptops you can't fully disassembly unless you take out the battery anyway.
