[SOLVED] Upgrading my 2133Mhz RAM to 2666Mhz - - - - compatibility ?

Hello. My motherboard is an ASRock H170 Performance/Hyper. I'm using 4 sticks of 4GB DDR4 2133Mhz RAM. Can I upgrade to 2666Mhz RAM? Not exact description on the manufacturer's website.

Useless, H170 supports 2133MT/s max.

If you want to upgrade your ram to take advantage of the ram's frequencies, then no, the maximum supported frequency is DDR4-2133MHz. The limitation is your chipset, if you swapped to a Z170/Z270 chipset motherboard, you could go with DDR4-3200MHz rams.
