ok i want an upgrade on my cpu to something that will provide better performance. i have an old machine and mobo but im not looking for a new system... just an upgrade so please dont recommend a new system, id like the best bang for my buck but nothing over >>60 bucks<< if possible its only temporary so im not looking to drop a ton of cash. i have an amd athlon II x2 235e socket am3 and my mobo is a mcp61pm-gm and bios is ami p01-a0. my mobo can handle up to 99 watts max but id like to go around 89 or lower because i have a weak PSU which is max 300W. so if anyone could help me that would be great im ready to buy i just need to know what. if you need any other info just let me know il be standing by for an answer thank you for your time.

Right now, your recommended wattage for a 6-year-old PSU is 278W.
With the Athlon II X4 630 you'll end up at 334W recommended.
The Sempron 145's performance is significantly worse so you better stick with your current CPU or you have to be a bit more brave with the money and get an Athlon II X4 630 with a new 400W PSU. This will put you around $100.
