Hey, so I've recently graduated from highschool, got some cash as gifts. After saving my money all summer I've collected a total of 700 dollars, my problem is I can't decide which parts to buy so I won't have to worry for a couple of years. Should I get a 1070 and the i5 4690k or completely upgrade to skylake (z170 itx mobo, 6600k, and ddr4 ram) and the 1060? At the moment I play Fallout 4/Skyrim heavily modded on a 2gb 960 and g3258 (which is a crappy experience)

Solution
a complete upgrade that includes a motherboard change would also require buying a new OS (windows) license, since it's tied to your motherboard. not sure why'd u get an itx mobo. i'd get a laptop since u just graduated high school and I assume you're going to college? With that said, just upgrade the cpu to an i5-4690k and get a 1070. cheers!

and try not to video game too much in college. focus on your education and pursuing a career you're passionate about.
