[SOLVED] Upgrading my CPU cooler

The current CPU cooler I have is similar looking to this, https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Alpin...s&sr=1-4-c6d1e124-78d4-46de-a286-0e075d587cf2 but older and definitely not that model. Having an issue where my cooler fan flares up randomly, and I think it broke. I am unsure what exactly to look for, but I am interested in upgrading to a contact heatsink, or whatever this is called https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Maste...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=79MBWS2AVGXNEE0TNBS5 . My CPU's socket is supposed to be compatible, and I dont know what else to look for besides making sure it'll fit in my case (I think, but barely.)

Is there anything else I have to look into? Thanks for any info.

Tricky question not knowing ur case, if you have non model non brand one or some other weird variant you're gonna have to measure urself and compare to cooler specs will it fit. CM is good but you might also look into Noctua and be quiet! cooler. I'd advise using ArctiClean for removing old paste/clening and Thermal Grizzly Kryo paste.
