After waiting long enough going to finally upgrade my CPU to something a littler better. I currently have a Intel i7 2600k OC@ 4ghz . I would like to stick with intel CPUs but open to suggestions. I see the 4th gen intel cpus are out now but it seems the 3rd gen are still better at the moment? I'd like to just get the the best possible cpu on the market. From what i have seen the 3970 and 3960 are just about the top right now, but it seems the 3770 might be just as good for the types of games i play. Going to play mainly Arma2/3 League of legends, Skyrim, Battlefield and a few other FPS games. Your Suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

Current Specs:
i7 2600k @ 4Ghz
Asrock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3
2 GTX Titans (idk why i bought them)
1200Watt Corsair PSU
16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
Custom Water Cooling Loop

Id say the 2600k @4ghz will still easily play the games u are going to play even with sli titans unless u know ur bottlenecked by the cpu, at that point then a new gen i7 will help for its better ipc, but a higher OC will be better, or even going with a SB E i7 3630k as its a 6core or Ivy bridge extreme when they release but rlly OC and dont replace lol

Yea i was thinking of waiting till the next CPUs come out but didnt know for sure. Isn't there an Ivy bridge extreme cpu already released or am i mixing up my cpus? I just installed this cooling so prolly gonna go ahead and jump it up a bit more .

I think it was a sandy bridge that got me confused. I'll just wait a few months , overclock my 2600k a little more and check back once those IB-Es come to the market. Thanks Guys :)
