upgrading my cpu

Hey, i have the MSI 790xt-g45 motherboard witch is Am2,Am2+.
My current cpu is the AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+,i want to upgrade my cpu to the phenom ii x6 witch is Am3.The box says its Am3 ready but i just want to confirm?

Yeah that motherboard is compatible with the Phenom II X6: 1035T,1045T,1055T,1075T and 1090T.
