I'm fairly new to pc's and gaming on one in general. I was looking to pair my Fx 6300 with a Gtx 1050(ti) as I have read these pair well together. My card I have right now is Nvidia GeForce 1030, which is too weak for my cpu right now. My motherboard is "Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 (Socket M2)" Should I encounter any problems just replacing it? Im sorry for asking, but I am not very knowledgeable on pc parts. Just the basics. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

If you have some room in your budget I would recommend that you upgrade to a newer CPU like one of the Ryzen CPU's. Of course that means getting a new MB and RAM.

In the grand scheme of things you'll be better off spending a little more or if not the same for new hardware. Just a thought.

The GTX 1050ti would pair nicely with for ex. Ryzen 2200g or the 1600af.
