I have a predator G3-710 and I'm wondering if I could put a strix gtx 1060 in it safely and if i would need any extra cables
The only thing extra I have added to my computer is a extra 1tb seagate HDD

The one I have isn't easy to find specs on but it currently has a r9 360 for a graphics card and a i5-6700 for a cpu

Link to graphics card: http://www.currys.ie/Product/asus-rog-strix-gtx-1060-graphics-card/339701/400.5.1

Video on computer: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=63Kog4xmUUs

The motherboard: https://www.empowerlaptop.com/p/acer-g3-710-motherboard-w1711/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0tLHpsSy2AIV1MAYCh0cbwB1EAQYAiABEgJRPPD_BwE

If that card won't work could you recommend another card

Yeah don't even try with that one. I recommend you upgrade your psu to something like a seasonic s12 II 520w. That is a quality inexpensive unit and will be able to drive the 1060.

Could you give us what psu is in there since there are a lot of different models.

As a reply to jaslion I wasn't able to find the model of psu at the moment all I know is that it's rated at 500w because I am currently away from my computers on holidays I should be able to check what kind of cables it has on Monday

your power supply is not good enough
