Upgrading my gpu

im currently running a gigabyte HD 6450

and i was wondering how do i choose the right upgrade? and can you straight up compare the two companies, with out the companies "special features" not really being an issue? i just didnt know which specs to compare/ matter most but i know this is my main set back at the moment

thats my system only thing iv changed is the power supply to a 750 i think, but id like to keep it close to $150-$250 tops

If you have a 750W psu, you can easily upgrade to a gtx 760. It will be a huge upgrade over your current GPU. Before buying, make sure that your case has enough space to fit in the new card as these cards can be quite long.

that looks like it should fit id have to check first obviously but it says "Dual slot space required" how do i find out if that would fit?

If it will fit in terms of length, it will fit. Dual slot thing means it amy occupy a nearby pciE slot and render it unusable.
