Here is some information for the pc. Bought it around 2 yrs.

550W Power Supply (lower rated since system isnt as power hungry)
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
G.SKILL PI Black 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB
Abit FP-IN9 Fatal1ty Motherboard
-Integrated 8ch HD Audio
-Integrated 10/100/1000 LAN

My budget for the card should be lower than $200. Please help me choose a card that fits me!

Thank you so much!!!

4850 512mb. The extra memory would only kick in if you game with AA/AF at higher resolution, otherwise it would be a wasted potential.

Brand? Don't worry about it. Get the one who has the best deal on it.

my frd just gave me 2 evga 8800gt 512mb. i want to run it in sli, but my frd said my psu (Zumax 550W Power Supply) is not enought for 2 cards. right now, i am running on one card. However, when i try to change the resolution back to 1280x1024, my screen only shows 3/2 or 3/5 on the screen. i could use my mouse to move the screen up and down, even left and right. Can anyone explain why? my monitor is dell 19" lcd that i bought almost 4 yrs ago.

Your PSU right now isn't that good. Abusing it further by doing SLI would make it go "bang!" anytime. If you really want it though, get a 650tx.

3/2 or 3/5?? what do you mean?

Just bought a corsair 750tx and a new monitor hope it would fix the problem.
when i change the resolution except 800x600 or 1024x768, i only can see part of my screen. If I move my mouse right I can see that part of my screen but not what is on the left, if I move it up or down I can see what is there but I lose whatever is in the opposite direction. Suggestions?
