My specs:
asrock b450 steel legend
16GB 3200Mhz
Ryzen 5 3600 6 Core 3.59Ghz
Geforce 1060 6gb

Hi, so i want to update my graphic card but im not really sure what card should i pick because of the price and my CPU. My current GPU is Nvidia gforce 1060 6GB. I want to upgrade it coz i will give this GPU away and i want to have like a better one maybe for VR Gaming.

Now exactly, im not sure if i will invest in VR (low chance but if, then Meta Quest 3) thats why i don't really want to buy that much good GPU but something that can work actually well with VR if i will buy it. Especially im not sure if its even worth investing more in GPU when i have this CPU and i don't really plan to upgrade my PC more.

So what GPU can u recommend right now? (Price like 270-370$) best would be not above 320. I should add that i don't have/plan to buy better cooling for GPU and my current PC cooling system is meh, its not good but not bad either.

I thought about this:
Asus GeForce RTX 2060 Dual Evo 6GB 308$

More budget options:
Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 8GB 290$
MSI Geforce RTX 3050 8GB 290$
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1660 Super 6GB 280$

Or alternatively a better one:
Inno3D Geforce RTX 3060 Twin X2 8GB 340$

Thanks for reading and helping!

The 6700xt would be my pick, also. The 6700xt is somewhere between a 3060ti and a 3070, on performance, and is often priced similar to a 3060 12gb.
I had it , very good GPU , the Asus variant is very cheap and the temperatures are awsome( no more than 63-65 gaming) !
Because i am crazy, i upgrade to a 4070ti, but 6700XT was VERY , VERY good video card .
Best performace for price .
You might have 2-3 issues with the drivers from time to time, but manageble.

Also Radeon Adrenaline is much better than Nvidia software.

How about a 6600xt/6650xt? That is also a bit faster, than a 3060 12gb, and typically cheaper.

I think i will opt for 6600xt/6650xt coz 6700xt is around 85$ more and i think its not that much difference in performance when i looked on benchmarks.

Or i could buy an used 6700xt but im not sure its worth it and if i should take the risk :/

Hey there,

Another thing to consider, and is dependant on which GPU you choose, along with a Meta Quest, is that if you use Airlink on the Meta, then the Nvidia GPU has better encoding. Airlink is the untethered mode for Meta Quest, but acts as PC VR. You also have the option of the wired connection, and in that case the 6700 will be better. It's just a good bit more powerful than a 3060 and also the 3060ti. Also, if going with the hardware (cable) connection, get yourself a really good USB to C cable and as long as you can get, to give you some room to move around.
