Upgrading my Graphics Card, I need some help!

Hello!
I have a plan to upgrade my GPU and I have some questions. I am quite bad on these PC things but at least I know the basics. I am planning to get a new GPU, Gigabyte 980 Ti. It's very very high end card and I need some help If i'm able to get my PC up and running correctly. My current system specs are:

  CPU: - i7-4770k 3.5GHz
  MoBo: - Gigabyte Z87-HD3
  GPU: - Gigabyte GTX 780 OC 3Gb
  RAM: - 16Gb
  Powersupply: 750W

So I need an answer If i'm able to get the new card up and running. I know how to install it properly. And is this a wise investment? Or no I need to upgrade something else? I think I have all the necessary cables at least. I heavily play the new titles and I wan't to get most out of my gaming PC.

I would personally wait a generation since you already have a 780. I would not get another 780 for SLI because they would not both run at x16 according to http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4489#sp
