Upgrading My Graphics Card or CPU

Good afternoon everyone! I'm hoping to get some opinions on what would get me the biggest fps increase in GTA V for around the same price. I plan on upgrading both Graphics Card and the CPU, but I can only get one this month, and am curious which one to buy first.

I currently have a GTX 460: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-460/specifications

and am looking into upgrading to GTX 750ti http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications

As for CPU I currently have AMD Athlon II x4 620 and am looking into the AMD FX-8350 http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUSideBySide.aspx?id=809&id=597

With my current set up I get around 30 fps with almost everything on normal, but it seems like about 65% of the time, after about 20-45 minutes of playing the FPS randomly starts tanking.

I hypothesized that this is my VRAM filling up and spilling over, but I also noticed sometimes the FPS drops seem to coincide with my processor's maxing out. I'm admittedly pretty new to troubleshooting FPS issues.

Thanks in advance to anyone able to help out!

I believe you are correct about your VRAM running out. That CPU is a great upgrade. Your bottleneck would still be the GTX 750ti, Honestly I would go to a 960 or 970 GTX with 4G DDR5 RAM.

I defiantly think your best first upgrade is the GPU.
