Upgrading My Graphics Card

Hey! I think it's about time I upgrade my graphics card to something a little more beefy. I'm looking to run games like Dying light, Arma 3, Far Cry 4 in high settings. I was thinking of going for a GTX 980 to future proof my rig. What do you guys think? Also my current card I'm using uses 170 watts and the GTX 980 uses 165 so should I be able to run it? (Both recomended 500 watts)

Graphics Card: GTX 760
Memory: 2x4 (8GB) Kingston HyperX
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2 (rev.2.0)
Power Supply: Cougar CMX700

Man whatever resolution, the GTX 980 is the best card future proof, the 295x2 is better on higher resolution by a few frames at higher cost, just buy a GTX 980 and u dont need to worry about that.

Replace your PSU. It has AWFUL voltage regulation and is known to damage components.

I'm assuming that you use Vsync, so your max frame rate will be 60 fps?

If so, go for a GTX 970. It's a beastly card that sips power.

Brand's don't really matter.
Asus - quiet
MSI - coolest
Gigabyte - powerful
EVGA - most variety, a little of all the above.

Would I be alright getting the "EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4GB" with my current power supply? I would like to not have to upgrade it as it's not very old.

It is poor quality. Replace it no matter what. It is the single most important part of a PC by far.
