Question upgrading my graphics card...

So ATM, i have the Gigabyte GTX 1650 Eagle, and im looking for an upgrade, so ofc i have a limited budget, so im thinking about getting a GTX 1660 Super or the RTX 3050...
what should i pick ?

suggesting the Asus 3050. I'm using one now, and it's been performing well so far.
it's also a short gpu, so should be easier to fit into your case.

I second the RX 6600. They are on newegg right now for about 260, and are close to an rtx 3060 for performance.

As you can see, against the 3050, the 6600 should blow it away.

If I'm looking at newegg, the cheapest 3050 I see is this for 299.

However if I look at the RX 6600 I see this one for 259.99 and it looks like they have their raise the game bundle as well so you get a free game or two.

You can go with the rtx 2060 as I see some of those for 229 on Newegg but if I'm looking at benchmarks such as this one most of the time the 6600 is ahead of the 2060 as well.

If you still want to be around 300, I suggest the 6600xt

Anyway, take it for what you think it's worth, but for the money in the budget side, Nvidia can't compete at the current prices in my opinion. I probably wouldn't go any lower than a 2060, but at that, if you are at 230 dollars, I'd suggest at least spend another 30 for the rx 6600 and then you are in the neighborhood of 3060 performance at least.



Edit: Just poking around ebay, and it appears your 1650 should sell if you went that route for 90-120 dollars. So you could factor that into your upgrade.

those nasty reviews on user benchmark helped scare me off from buying any AMD gpu.
Fighter 6600Xt are actually being sold for lower price than RTX 2060 in the large mall one short bus ride away from my house, but I still chosen to get Nvidia gpu.

Get yourself an rx 6600 it beats and shred rtx 3050 and almost as same as 3060 . It even beat 3060 in some games

RX 6600xt is a good card. I owned one a year or so ago. I actually had 2. The first one had some kind of issues and I returned it to the store. The second one was great and performed perfectly. I ended up selling that card during the mining craze to get cash.

I now own a 6700xt which is a great card and no issues with it whatsoever. I plan on keeping it around a while. For the money the 6600 or 6600xt is hard to beat.

Yes, the 6600 is actually a decent 1080p gaming card, and finally at acceptable prices.
